    This one day FPOS I/ CEER Intermediate refresher course will update your knowledge and provide you with an FPOS I certificate for three years. The course provides those traveling and working overseas and in challenging and often hazardous parts of the world with the appropriate knowledge and skills to provide the immediate response to casualties. Aimed at areas of the world where there is either a delayed, unskilled or non-existent emergency ambulance service. This course is a pre requisite qualification for people wishing to work in the security industry overseas.

    OFFSHORE MEDICS COURSE HSE

    COURSE AVAILABLE AT EXMED UK Remote/Offshore Medics operating within the oil, gas and exploration industries are subject to a four week HSE accredited course. A refresher course after three years is mandatory to allow the medic to continue practicing. The course developed and delivered by Exmed is a 20 day course encompassing a 10 day training centre phase covering Trauma, Cardiac, Airway, Major incident training, Environmental and Primary health modules amongst others. This is followed by a 5 day Primary Care placement and a 5 day placement in the Accident & Emergency department. A further optional 5 days completes the safety training element.     MIMMS ALSG

    The 3 day Major Incident Medical Management & Support (MIMMS) course is aimed at personnel who will be involved with Major incidents including emergency services, medical and nursing staff. It is also highly relevant to military and close protection medics serving in remote areas.

    The structure of the course includes lectures, table top exercises, practical training including communications and triage techniques. The course finishes with 2 Practical Exercises Without Casualties (PEWCs) working in groups at potential major incident sites putting all the training together. On passing the course you will be awarded an ALSG accredited certificate valid for 4 years.

    Candidates must meet the criteria of being either a Doctor, registered nurse or paramedic. Other applicants suitability for attendance on the course will be assessed individually based upon qualifications and relevant experience.
